One of my favorite art projects of 2019 was the Album Art I did for Undivided's 2019 release, "Lurking in Darkness". I recreated that project using 3D Blender Software.

The concept of this project was fun too, it was based off of the lyrics from the song "Show Me The Light", Track 3 off of Lurking in Darkness. The song is about a desperate man pleading for a sign from above for guidance as he is nearing the end of his life. He finds himself lost and banging at a door of a cathedral, just begging for a sign from above.

The door opens and he finally gets his answer... but this answer is not from above and not the answer he was hoping for. The door opens and he steps into the "hell" that is his fate.

This is the original artwork I made for the release back in 2019. I made everything in Adobe Photoshop except for the title work. The logo and title were all touched up or created in Adobe Illustrator first, and then I brought it into Photoshop later to place it on top of the artwork and add any other details.

The "Hell" background was created by layering a bunch of images of smoke on top of each other and then using FX and different red colors to blend them together. I also used Photoshop to paint in some additional smoke lines and details.

This is the same image as above, but with the title added to compare to the original version.

I wanted to get a zoomed in shot of a glimpse of the light, sort of over the shoulder of the dark figure, so I zoomed the camera into this spot and made another render using Cycles in Blender. I added in the song title too from Adobe Illustrator.

I always like to have some sort of easter egg or hidden cameo of myself in my own art projects, so I made some of the squares in the wall decorations my square Exzilibus Logo.

Same "over the shoulder shot" as before, but with some nice arch reflections showing above that and no title. I used some of these longer dimension shots for a reel on my Instagram page.
